CULTURAL DIFFERENCES - tendencies, dimensions and traits
At work, in education and in relationships, you may also meet people with a different structure and culture, who communicate or think radically differently, or reorganisations or changes in your workplace, where you are suddenly faced with having to change your approach or behaviour. It can be challenging if the new settings you are confronted with, causes you confusion, stress or anxiety.
After a while, the changes can seem difficult and the emotional response of something exciting and new is replaced by frustration with the ‘mundane’ of the new. Everything around you is naturally compared to what you were used to, and you may think that everything worked better, before or ‘back home’. The differences in traditions, habits, norms or new languages, can lead to misunderstandings or conflicts.
Below, you will find some among other recognised scientist, who explored the differences and similarities in cultures.
